Specialty:
Dr. Wootton is a board certified plastic surgeon trained and skilled in a broad spectrum of plastic surgery procedures whose special area of interest and expertise is cosmetic surgery of the face, neck, and eyelids.
He also does a good deal of surgery for skin cancer involving the face. Dr. Wootton has had special training and experience in the use of Botox and has taught many of his colleagues in the technique of its use.

Dr. Wootton is a graduate of Bringham Young University and The George Washington University School of Medicine.
Residency:
Dr. Wootton completed residency training in both General Surgery and Plastic Surgery at UCLA and has been in practice in Santa Monica, California since 1972.

He is an assistant clinical professor in the division of Plastic Surgery at both the Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and the Keck School of Medicine at USC.

Personal Interests:
Dr. Wootton's main interest outside Plastic Surgery is his family. His wife of forty years is a Professor of Radiology at the Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He has two successful married sons, one a business executive and the other an award winning television writer/ producer.
Comment in Marriage:
I married a woman who is much smarter than I am and have since paid the price of also having two children who are also smarter than I am.
Dr. Wootton is an outdoors man whose hobbies include physical fitness, reading, writing, pretending he can play golf, visiting museums and libraries, fishing, skiing, socializing with friends, dining out, puttering around the house, looking through catalogs and SPENDING TIME WITH THE FAMILY. As an avocation/ hobby, he has worked extensively as a consultant to medical television shows and has over two-hundred credits as a technical advisor and story consultant.
